I just want to say on behalf of our office what a fantastic night we had on Saturday. Excellent food, band and service made for a really good evening. Please pass on our thanks to everyone who worked so hard. We wish you all a happy Christmas.

This is our second Christmas Party at The Athenaeum and it just gets better and better each year! Staff are amazing, working hard throughout the evening to ensure everything runs smoothly and the food is delicious too. Highly recommended!

Fantastic venue for live performances, also offers weddings, which I can only imagine would be spectacular. Such a beautiful building.

Really impressed, my niece had her wedding reception here, kind, friendly staff, amazing food and catered well for a whole selection of allergies across the guests.

Our daughter and son in law were married here in the ballroom, and held their wedding breakfast and evening celebration here on Saturday. We cannot thank the staff enough for making their day so special. From the first meeting to discuss their requirements, to the actuall day of the wedding, the staff were professional and efficient and friendly. The Athenaeum is a beautiful building and the ballroom looked stunning. Here in Bury St. Edmund’s we are so lucky to have this wonderful building available.Once again many thanks. Ann & Paul.

Thank you again to the Athenaeum, this time for hosting our 1920s joint 30th birthday party in April 2018! It’s such a fab venue. A very efficient, organised and friendly events team, who always throw a good party! 🎉

Beautiful building. Very elegant decor. Absolutely lovely people on hand, ready to help. I cannot fault the service we received from the registrars & assistants at my son’s wedding service. Beautiful surroundings, warm, friendly staff.. much recommended

Just a note to say thank you to you and the staff team led by Caitlin who made us so welcome on Saturday, and ensured that our evening went well.

The food was delicious and everyone said how much they enjoyed it - especially the two guests with special dietary needs who were very complimentary in their praise of the meal.

We hope to be able to organise more events in the future, and hope that we can use your beautiful Assembly Rooms again as they are the perfect venue for a Regency Ball.
